The Midnight Hour NEW SINGLE “Harmony” feat. Loren Oden
Ali Shaheed Muhammad (A Tribe Called Quest) and Adrian Younge have been on an extensive North American fall tour with their acclaimed 10-piece ensemble, The Midnight Hour. The Midnight Hour is Black Excellence: an ode to the cultural sophistication that the Harlem Renaissance established for its people. Performing with their jazz rhythm section and an orchestral section reminiscent of maestros such as David Axelrod and Quincy Jones, The Midnight Hour is sophisticated hip hop. Today, the pair behind the unforgettable score for the Netflix series Marvel’s Luke Cage share their first new single off their upcoming second album, set for release in early 2020. “Harmony” features frequent collaborator Loren Oden and, notes Ali and Adrian, is “a song for those that have felt a special spark of love, in the moment.” Listen to “Harmony” here: https://sym.ffm.to/tmh_harmony.
The Midnight Hour’s fall tour resumes next week and concludes on November 21 in Los Angeles, for a homecoming show at The Lodge Room. The tour features a very special collaborative opening set featuring the group’s incredibly talented vocalists Loren Oden and Angela Muñoz, and guitarist Jack Waterson. Tickets for all shows can be found here: http://www.artdontsleep.com/2019/07/20/tmhustour19.
In addition to the follow up album to The Midnight Hour’s self-titled 2018 debut, Younge’s Linear Labs is set to release debut albums from Oden and Muñoz. Look for additional information on the upcoming albums soon and see the current tour routing below.
